The Death of Death in the Death of Jesus #8 - Access to God - Matthew 27:51

⁵⁰ And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.

 ⁵¹ And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.  (Matthew 27:50-51 ESV)

 

Big Idea: We must put our faith in Jesus’ work on the cross, particularly his putting to death religion and limited access to God.

 

I.                    Faith in Jesus’ death severing the curtain of religion.

 

 

II.                  Faith in Jesus’ death severing the curtain of limited access. 

III.                Faith in Jesus’ death ending our joyless life by bringing us to know his Father.
